GMC Sierra C/K1500 SLE and the GMC Sierra C/K1500 SLT
Initially to indicate rear wheel drive General Motor’s used C for rear wheel drive and K for all wheel drive. These GMC Sierra cars were available from 1988 till 1998. The GMC Sierra was available in different trim levels and it included the base SL, GMC Sierra C/K1500 SLE was the mid level and the top level was the GMC Sierra C/K1500 SLT. Most of these trucks were powered by a 5.0 liter or 5.7 liter V8 that was paired to a four speed automatic transmission.
